Hello, and happy Fall!
Well, I’m back in Nashville and I’m recalibrating from our trip. Ki and I had a fantastic time in Seattle and Portland, and we got to check out a bunch of great veg restaurants. My favorites were definitely Plum Bistro and Café Flora.
Thanks to everyone who visited my table at Northwest VegFest! People were so friendly and supportive, and I had an awesome time sharing my book with all of the kids who came by. I was really flattered by the kids who insisted on reading the entire book while their parents tried to drag them away. ( : It was also exciting to see what other businesses, organizations, and chefs are doing. I wish I had more pictures from the event, but the whole weekend was a whirlwind of talking and I never really picked up my camera. Here are a few photos from Saturday morning:
…Some little guys really liked the finger puppets:
In Portland, Ki’s talented cousin Bella made her own mini-tweeters and they are SO cute! I love their nest and eggs.
I don’t have plans to exhibit at any more VegFests this year, but one copy of Garlic-Onion-Beet-Spinach-Mango-Carrot-Grapefruit Juice will be available to read at the upcoming festivals in San Francisco, Boston, and Vancouver BC. Stop by the children’s area to check it out!
That’s all for now, but check back soon because I’ll be posting about a fun contest! And if you haven’t already, please feel free to subscribe to ThoraThinks.
Have a fantastic weekend-
